You may occasionally experience issues logging into Settlenet.org. This can be the result of stale cookie information cached in your web browser (see below for a description of what a cookie is). If you cannot log into SettleNet.org try first removing cookies from your browser settings.
To do this:
In Chrome:
Copy chrome://settings/siteData into the browser address bar and go to the "All cookies and site data" page. Once on the page, search for cookies containing "settlenet.org" and remove them.
In Firefox:
Copy about:preferences#privacy into the browser address bar and go to the "Browser Privacy" page. Scroll down to "Cookies and Site Data" and select "Manage Data".
Search for cookies containing "settlenet.org" and remove them.
In any other browser:
locate the browser cookie settings and remove any that refer to "settlenet.org"
Alternatively, using an incognito/private window or different web browser altogether will work and sidestep the issue, but the instructions above to remove Settlenet.org cookies are recommended for a more long-term solution.
What are "cookies"?
A cookie is a small text file transferred from SettleNet.org to your hard drive so we can identify separate visitors to the site and track activities on the site.
SettleNet.org uses cookies primarily for authentication purposes to identify you as you navigate the site, create content or when you log in.
Please see Settlenet.org's Privacy Policy for more information about cookies and how they are used on this site.
